Climate Change

The Administration's work involves the following: addressing climate change related affairs, facilitating cross-departmental communication for the advancement of net-zero strategies among government ministries, strengthening the nation's policy formulation and promotion efforts, and implementing the monitoring and inspection of periodic regulatory goals.

In response to the international trend towards carbon tariffs and carbon reduction across supply chains, the Administration is dedicated to accelerating the implementation of carbon pricing, and its primary tasks include carbon fee collection, voluntary emissions reduction trading, planning fund utilization, enhancing the inventory, inspection and guidance of carbon emissions, seeking carbon reduction technologies and strategies, establishing industrial efficiency standards and launching a product carbon footprint scheme, alleviating international pressures, and assisting industries in transitioning. The Administration strives to promote climate change adaptation and improve resilience, thus establishing dialogues between local governments and various sectors of society.
