  • International Collaboration on Soil and Groundwater Remediation

    The EMA (Environmental Management Administration) has regularly organized international collaboration activities such as the Taiwan-US Workshop, Business Meeting of the Working Group on Remediation for Soil and Groundwater Pollution of Asian and Pacific Region (ReSAG, member countries including Taiwan, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Philippines, Viet Nam, Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and India), training courses for officials of the ReSAG Working Group, and Taiwan-Southeastern Asian Countries Technical Forum. The EMA has established stable international collaboration models and has become a hub for soil and groundwater remediation information exchange in the Asian and Pacific Region. The EMA shall continuously promote international collaboration, assist the overseas development of domestic industries, and increase international visibility.

  • Development of international cooperation on environmental enforcement

    Since 2013, under the Agreement between the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States and the American Institute in Taiwan and the International Environmental Partnership, with a focus on environmental law enforcement, the EMA has invited environmental inspectors from over 15 Southeast Asia countries, including Thailand, Indonesia, Republic of the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam, to visit Taiwan and participate in environmental enforcement workshops. Moreover, the EMA has visit United States, Japan, and Thailand to exchange valuable experiences. In the future, the EMA shall introduce advanced technologies, develop application of technology in environmental enforcement, as well as establish partnership collaboration.
