The Division of Environmental Sanitation is in charge of the following matters:

  1. Developing, promoting, coordinating, implementing, and supervising policies and regulations regarding environmental sanitation and cleanliness maintenance.
  2. Developing, promoting, coordinating, implementing, and supervising high-quality environmental creation policies.
  3. Drafting, promoting, coordinating, implementing, and supervising the policies and regulations of Government-employed Sanitation Worker regarding safety and sanitation, equipment, professional skills, and welfare.
  4. Planning, promoting, implementing, and supervising environmental cleaning and general waste removal equipment, vehicles, facilities, and system optimization.
  5. Planning, promoting, coordinating, executing, and supervising emergency responses to environmental pollution.
  6. Planning, promoting, coordinating, executing, and supervising emergency responses and environmental restoration from natural disasters.
  7. Developing, promoting, coordinating, and supervising coastal cleanliness and maintenance policies.
  8. Other matters related to environmental sanitation.
