Implementation of Toxic Disaster Prevention and Control Plan

In accordance with the "Disaster Prevention and Protection Act" promulgated on July 19, 2000 by Presidential Order, the Ministry of Environment (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry) has been designated as the competent authority responsible for toxic and chemical substance disaster prevention and protection. Responding to disaster prevention and protection policies approved by the Central Disaster Prevention and Protection Council, the "Toxic and Chemical Substance Disaster Prevention and Protection Plan" was endorsed by the Executive Yuan on February 1, 2002. Through six successive submissions to the Central Disaster Prevention and Protection Council for approval and amendment, dated June 16, 2004, December 31, 2009, May 12, 2015, May 25, 2018, August 4, 2020, and June 28, 2022, the above regulations have been revised and officially issued. These revisions have served as a basis for advancing disaster prevention and protection efforts related to toxic and chemical substances in our country.
