National Environmental Water Quality Monitoring

line sharePrint Content

Since 2002, the department has been coordinating the national environmental water quality monitoring program to establish a long-term database of water quality variations. Currently, the monitoring covers river basins, reservoirs, and regional groundwater monitoring wells nationwide. The environmental water quality monitoring data reflects the quality of various water bodies. If the monitoring results meet the environmental standard for water bodies, it will help strengthen water body management strategies or pollution control measures, serving as the basis for relevant pollution prevention and control regulations set by various government agencies.
