line sharePrint Content

The Ministry of Environment (MOENV) established the Water Pollution Control Fund in accordance with Article 11 Paragraph 6 of the Water Pollution Control Act to prevent water pollution, maintain the ecosystem, improve our living environment, and enhance the health of our people. MOENV also formulated the Regulations for Revenue and Expenditure, Safekeeping and Utilization of the Water Pollution Control Fund.

To ensure proper utilization, MOENV established the Water Pollution Control Fund Committee in 2015 in accordance with the law. The committee consists of representatives from government agencies, scholars, experts, and NGOs, who are selected through a careful process. Responsibilities include reviewing the income and expenditure of the fund, overseeing its safekeeping and utilization, examining the annual budget and final accounts, and evaluating fund utilization. Information about the Water Pollution Control Fund meetings is made publicly available on the MOENV website and can be downloaded for reference.
