line sharePrint Content

To support and assist all levels of government in toxic chemical disaster preparedness and response, and to enhance our country’s toxic chemical response capacity, the Administration has planned to establish professional toxic chemical disaster response training sites. Additionally, efforts have been made to enhance resource allocation and the availability of software and hardware facilities, equipment and manpower related to the government’s toxic chemical disaster response system. Currently, the Southern Taiwan Toxic Substance Emergency Response Training Center (SERT) has been completed and officially inaugurated on August 3, 2021. It also successfully underwent field evaluation by the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) on June 22, 2022 and became the first learning and training site in East Asia through collaboration with TEEX. Additionally, efforts are underway to establish the Central Taiwan Toxic Substance Emergency Response Training Center, with a projected completion date set for 2024.
