Emergency Response for River Pollution

line sharePrint Content

For effective response and management of water pollution events, various preventative and communication measures are needed to quickly control the pollution site when an event occurs, or is likely to occur. Coordination is required with relevant authorities and polluters to implement emergency response measures and reduce pollution to surface water bodies.

MOENV formulated the Water Pollution Emergency Response and Joint Defense System Operation Directions to combine response capabilities from neighboring municipalities and counties to assist with major pollution events. Resources from professional civilian organizations can also be utilized for personnel training at local governments, enhancing their ability to respond to river pollution events and operate equipment, which will help effectively contain and remove pollutants as soon as possible.
